Find Local Training & Certification Program to Grow Your Career

To become a skincare specialist, you are required to complete specific training through an authorized facility. This formal training is slightly different, depending on the state you reside in, with minimum requirements set by each state’s licensing board or the Board of Education. All training includes theory work related to board requirements, as well as the completion of a set number of practical hours. The practical hours required vary between states and between the institution and level of training you are receiving and can range anywhere from 300-600 practice hours or more. Another route available for aspiring skincare specialists is to complete an apprenticeship, or for those looking to become a master in their field certain “master” courses are available.
