An Overview of The Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy
The Division of Psychotherapy was established in 1968 by a gathering of driving psychotherapists to propel the science, educating, and practice of psychotherapy. Our name was changed to the Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy in 2014. A solid voice for psychotherapy and home for psychotherapists, the Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy is focused on saving and growing the hypothetical and evidentiary base for psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic connections, supporting long lasting learning of psychotherapeutic abilities, just as making the advantages of psychotherapy available to all.
The Society is a global network of experts, researchers, analysts, educators, human services pros, and students who are keen on and dedicated to the progression of the training and study of psychotherapy. Our central goal is to give a functioning, assorted, and crucial network and to create, share, and disperse the quickly aggregating proof base in clinical science and practice.
How to Join The Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy
Our membership fee is only $40 per year ($20 for students). A subscription to our peer-reviewed journal Psychotherapy would cost $77/annually for APA members and $150/annually for non-APA members). As a member of the Society, you will receive Psychotherapy as a member benefit for no additional cost.
